Software is warning my Order Code is invalid
If your Order Code is being detected as invalid, most often the code has been entered incorrectly. Please try to copy/paste the Order Code from the email that you received from Meadows. If this does not resolve the issue, this article will assist you in troubleshooting. For other types of activation issues, please search for other Knowledgebase Articles or open a Support Ticket on the Meadows Help Desk.
BACKGROUND
The first time you start InDesign with a new installation of Meadows software, one or more Meadows software modules will prompt you to enter an Order Code. For orders that include multiple Meadows software products (such as optional modules), all of the modules may be activated by using same Order Code. You will have received an email message from Meadows Publishing Solutions that provides you with the Order Code for all of the modules that you ordered in your software package.
When using your Order Code to activate the software, if a module warns you that the Code you entered is invalid, you may find the following information helpful:
- Confirm Your Software Version
First, please confirm that you have installed the appropriate version of the software. Order Codes are unique to a specific version of InDesign or specific system. The file name of the Meadows software installation file that you downloaded will indicate the required version of InDesign and required operating system for that Meadows software. Additionally, this information is presented on the first page that the installer displays. - Check the Software/Module Name
The dialog window that prompts you to enter your Order Code will include the name of the software product in the title bar. Please confirm that the name of the product that is displayed in the title bar matches the product name you are trying to activate. It is very common for customers to download the installer for a different AccurioPro software product (for example, if you installed AccurioPro Catalog, but you have an Order Code for AccurioPro VDP, then the Order Code will be reported as invalid). - Enter the Code Manually
If you copied/pasted the Code, for example, from an email message, try entering it manually via the keyboard to ensure invisible characters are not being pasted into the box. All Order Code characters are upper-case.
NOTE: If you did not receive a Code for a module, then you may run the module in Demo mode, or you may prefer to uninstall the software. If you prefer to uninstall a module, please see the article How to remove or uninstall Meadows software from Adobe InDesign.
